Introduction

We are hosting the 2nd World Jersey Cheese Awards in June 2010.  Join us by entering your cheeses.  This event provides an ideal opportunity to be part of the phenomenal expansion that is ‘The Jersey’, the premier breed of dairy cow, and there is no more fitting place to hold this world class event than the home of this magnificent breed, the Island of Jersey.

Cheese makers from around the world are invited to show their Jersey milk cheese and compete with contemporaries for the prestigious Gold Riband award of the ‘Worlds Best Jersey Cheese’.

Judging

A mixed panel of experts will judge the competition and each cheese will be scored out of 50.

The organisers are pleased to announce the John Allison, one of the UK’s expert cheese judges, will be heading up the judging panel.  He will be joined by a mixed panel of cheese experts, local chefs and representatives of local organisations.

Awards

This contest is an objective assessment of cheeses and there will be gold, silver and bronze awards for the best products in each class.  The gold winning cheeses from each class will then go forward to find the Gold Ribband ‘World’s best Jersey Cheese.

The winners will be able to publish their awards on their food packing and retailers can promote the competition within their stores.
